Rails & detailed woodwork
Include spindles, steps and edges in the measurements. Repair or replacement of unsound wood is separate from a finish-only scope.
Count every side and detailed surface
Include deck boards, steps, rails, posts and gates when describing the work. For fences, state which sides are accessible and included. Photos of old coatings and worn areas are more useful than color references alone.
Compare the desired color and opacity with the wood condition and previous finish. Separate unsound-board replacement from a coating-only scope, and discuss when the surface can return to normal use under the selected finish instructions.

Should I stain or paint the wood?
The wood, previous finish and desired appearance help determine the options. We discuss preparation, opacity and maintenance for the chosen system.
Are damaged boards included?
Visible board or detail repairs can be discussed and itemized. Rebuilding a deck or fence is not assumed from a finishing estimate.
Is this the right service for a concrete pool deck?
No. Concrete deck repair, skim coating, knockdown texture and coatings are covered under pool-deck resurfacing.
